4.    How do you think Clary’s relationship with her brother and her friend, Simon, will change after the events of the novel? Who do you think changed the most over the course of the story?

5.    Do you think Clary would’ve been a happier person if the Shadow World and her own mundane Brooklyn had never collided? Is the power and insight she gains worth the pain and loss she must suffer to have it?

6.    What do you think of Hodge? Is he evil? Why does he betray Jace and Clary at the Institute?

7.  Clare’s mother made the decision to keep Clary away from the world of Shadowhunters. Do you agree with this decision? Why or why not?

2. I don't think that I would let the silent brother into my mind because I wouldn't want them to look at provate moments of mine happy or sad. It would just make me uncomfortable and like noting precious to me is mine only. But if it could save me I might consider it.
6. I don't think hodge is evil I think that he is desperate to leave the place that he has been trapped him. He doesn't see any way out besides betraying them so thats what he does. So I might say a little of his sanity has been taken away because of how long he has been away from his home and the outside world.
7. I thinK clary's mother made a horrible choice keeping clary out of the shadow hunter world. I think that it was impossible to hide Clary from the things she is meant to see. So when she finally sees the monsters she doesn't what to do. I think that her mother put her in more danger by trying to protect her.
